Our history – Development and innovation

1988

BIG Graniti was founded in 1988 as a granite cutting plant under the name B.I.G. Spa and established itself in a market characterised by high demand for marble and granite.

2006

In 2006, the Poiesi family and the Boscolo family joined forces to establish BIG GRANITI SRL.

Thanks to Mr Silvano Poiesi, who has thirty years’ experience in the natural stone industry, the company is entering a new phase of development.

2006

Also in 2006, with the support and innovative drive of his sons, the company became BIG Graniti Srl.

Over the years, the Stone Processing Factory has undergone a complete transformation, with the switch from traditional saw frames to new multi-blade machinery and the renewal of the entire machine fleet.
This has enabled improvements in the quality and speed of the processing, increasing slabs production.

2023

In 2023, BIG Graniti acquired Sarimar, previously owned by the Poiesi family, thereby further consolidating its production capacity.

BIG Graniti: the company in the present

BIG Graniti Srl has continued, and continues to this day, to invest in technological processes, with the aim of taking the company to the highest level of automation and robotics.

Technology, people, future

Following the merger in 2023 BIG Graniti now boasts a production area of over 20,000 m², divided between its headquarters and the new factory.

The production system consists of 19 of the latest generation machines, some of which have been fully optimised for BIG Graniti.

Today, the Poiesi and Boscolo families run the company with a team of almost 50 employees, under family ownership:
