Granite, quartzite and hard marble slabs resin treatment for improved resistance and durability
Resin treatment is a process applied to granite, marble, quartzite and hybrid materials to improve their resistance, compactness and aesthetic appeal. It is essential for high-quality marble and granite intended for use as flooring, wall cladding and kitchen worktops.
Special high-quality Italian epoxy resins are used for this treatment; able to repairing micro-cracks, porosity and imperfections present in natural stone, making it more uniform and solid.
Steps involved in resin coating on slabs of quartzite, granite and hard marble.
- 1Cleaning and drying.
The slab is thoroughly washed and dried to remove dust and impurities. - 2Coating with resin.
An Italian epoxy resin is applied to the surface, penetrating deep into the micro-cracks. - 3Curing.
The slab is left to dry until the treatment has fully hardened and stabilised.
